Spirit Weavers Gathering is a five day celebration of cultures past and present, a remembering and practicing of basic human skills to ensure the survival of the body and the soul. Farming practices, working with fibers, weaving, creating ceremony, sharing meals at night and dreams in the morning, the making of plant medicines- singing songs, together as a community- these were the common knowledge ways and part of the simple pleasures of a life lived in balance and harmony with nature. As the Sacred Gathering approached the beautiful land and was greeted by some of the kindest souls, we knew that we were about to encounter a tribe of powerful women who were about to share unique skills in remembrance of the beauty path and an honoring of our Ancestors.
As soon as the Sacred Gathering family landed in the near by airport of Cave Junction, we were instantly boosting with excitement as we set upon a car ride journey through the beautiful nature that this special land surrounded us in - we hadn't even made it the gathering site yet! By the time we had arrived to the beautiful acreage with friendly smiles welcoming us into the gates, we instantly felt a sense of home. Since Spirit Weavers is a *Womens only* gathering, we felt a sense of belonging and a interesting relief being surrounded by soon to be new sisters. Mothers, grandmothers, teens and children surrounded the scared grounds creating camp fires, craft and clothing stalls, scared spaces being decorated with crystals, plants and of course saged with.. it was like a living community for goddesses and priestesses. Soon, the very first announcement gathering began at dusk.
Many of us have been called into the depths to uncover the roots of who we truly are and explore ways of walking in the world that are in alignment with both our deepest truth and our highest potential. Spirit Weavers believe that this remembering comes through our connection with our great planetary Mother. The tribe recognises our symbiotic relationship to the earth, and that it is to our direct benefit that we take good care of her, but more than being connected to her, they seek to understand that we in fact ARE her. We are not separate from her, and small actions on our part have a great impact on her. A true example of where The Sacred Gatherings soul beliefs collide and connect with the Spirit Weavers.
Each year, Spirit Weavers comes together in the hope that through everyones participation in this larger community we may be inspired, empowered, and supported by one another and the by the new skills we exchange. Participation is open to all female identifying women, womxn, wombyn, trans and cis regardless of their race, ethnic origin, age, sexual orientation, religion, disability, economic circumstance, or physical appearance. Spirit Weavers is committed to providing an inclusive environment for all of our community members. Past gatherings have included those from all walks of life travelling from Australia, Indonesia, Spain, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Chile, Canada, Singapore, Kenya, South Korea, Japan, China, Israel, United Arab Emirates, UK, Netherlands, and Latvia to celebrate the feminine and share their gifts. Through sharing space with so many who endeavor with great earnestness to find unique solutions to the challenges we all are facing, we find we are able to more gracefully arrive at a new understanding of what it could look like for us to more fully commit to being in right relationship to each other and to nature.
