Art With Me - Tulum, Mexico

As we stumbled into Mexico for a simple holiday in the beautiful jungle of Tulum, we soon discovered a hidden gem, Art With Me. Art With Me*GNP is a community driven festival that combines art, music, talks and workshops, wellness and cultural experiences into a 5 night and 4 day journey to inspire change and personal growth. The festival features over 300 different events and activities taking place all over Tulum with art installations and unique workshops at partner hotels, sunset sessions, concerts and late night events at select locations on the beach, in town and in the jungle. Just when we thought we were finished with partying and exploring mystic magic in the jungles of Costa Rica and Guatemala, we were so thrilled to find this new and upcoming tribe that's already got a vision to start an empire!

Art with Me was created to not only showcase the area that long term locals have come to love but to also to educate visitors and initially protect Tulum. Raging over 7 pillars that divides the festival into different areas (Art, Care, Dance, Dine, Breathe, Give and Play) to raise and educate a new perspective of consciousness and bringing tribes from all different walks of life together. The festival included late-night DJ sets, live performances and the most amazing art installations ever seen in this part of the world.  With the addition of the spectacular new IK LAB run by the charming and inspirational Santiago Rumney Guggenheim (Peggy's great-grandson), the Tulum art scene is now bursting at the seams.

The music will feature artists like the vocalist, filmmaker, and humanitarian Michael Franti, the Brooklyn house duo Bedouin, a live band performance from techno artist Jan Blomqvist, and more. For those interested in wellness programs, there will be ecstatic dance, yoga, traditional Mayan sweat lodge, plant medicine healing, and more.  Since the focus is also on environmental stewardship, one feature of the festival is Care With Me, which will include talks, workshops, indigenous ceremonies, recycled artwork and interactive experiences to encourage sustainable practices while in Tulum and back home.

For the Sacred Gathering family, it was a speechless time for us to witness such an vision like Art With Me that has been created to inspire consciousness, lifestyle, wellness, creativity, expression and sense of community. We are so humbled to have attended this event during 2019 and we can confirm that we will be yearly locals. Who wants to join us?!
